Why does it have to be limited for you to like it?
Why does it have to be limited for you to like it?
This is easy to answer - why would I want "A couple million of" or "unlimited production of" something? I want something that I can say that - "hey, there is only SMALL number amount of these in existence and I GOT one of them"
And if I can get two of them - one will be on display and one will be "if the offer is right - it will be sold".
The basic law of economics kick in - Supply and Demand!
Is that why I get this when clicking on the link:

To bad, that looks pretty cool. I really like the R2 at the bottom middle poking his head out.
He's no good to me overweight.

These are all 1/1 and they were done on ACTUAL card back (backer).
As for collecting stuff just for the sake of collecting - that phase has been long gone. If you are telling star wars' action figure people that - they would laugh at you! There is NO way they are open and play with the action that value in the hundred of dollars. By opened up the package, you might as well BURN the money!
At the beginning, when someone just started, then they just collect just for the fun of it and could not careless. When you become addicted to the hobby, it changes. You need to feed the addict and unless you are a great grandchild of an oil tycoon, you need to sell some of your doubles so you can get the next chase or fix!

I'm with you on this, Imrahil 2001. I buy a print based on whether i like the image and not on the edition size.
Shame this got scrubbed. Whilst i understand that you can't really make money on another's product without permission, i can't help thinking that the people at Geek-Art wanted to go through channels but didn't have the contacts. (I also wonder how much of a role the ACME licence would have in this instance.) Shame, this is a great print.
I wonder where Lucas Licencing stand on SOPA?
I am pretty sure this got waxed because it was posted right here ... those who have the license are reading as well ...
I liked it as well though...

Apologies if posting it here caused it's eventual downfall. Just was trying to share some info to fellow collectors.
Had no idea it was an underground thing.
"Only now, at the end, do you understand."
