    Vintage Distribution Issues

Thought I'd start up this thread to talk about the Vintage collection's distribution.

Do you think Hasbro will have this line under control from the get go or will the Vintage line continue the bad distribution trend that the Legacy line suffered from? If I remember correctly Hasbro was going to ship a wave every couple months, is this just wishful thinking on their part or just a joke to make us feel better?

Thoughts and/or ideas on this topic?

I'm REALLY annoyed! DAMN YOU HASBRO! DAMN YOUR SUCKY DISTRIBUTION!
I can't find a single vintage figure on the pegs anywhere and I drove 7,000 miles across the whole of Europe looking to pick up a recarded Vader!
That's IT! I am stopping collecting! I shall sit back and LAUGH as your company goes to the wall without my ££££

What they need to avoid is Legends beating it to the pegs like last time or shipping in disgustingly disproportionate amounts.

I'm wondering how the distribution here in Europe will be ...

I fear : Smaller quantities which will be sold out rather quickly ...

... Meanwhile the Clone Wars will receive bigger shipments due to better selling ...

I think that as soon as VC is released, most will be grabbed up before they hit the pegs. This line will be a field day for scalpers and many collectors have already said they plan to buy x2 of each VC release. I'm very concerned that with the recent production cuts for Legacy, Hasbro will be playing VC by ear and it might take a while to get a handle on it (if ever).

Well we have no clue - can Hasbro get it back under control? I certainly frappin hope so.

The relaunch might help put a clean break and a new approach in but if the past is any guide then I'm not really that hopeful.

    Re: Vintage Distribution Thread

In the collectors forum I'm in, some collectors of "real" vintage figures already announced to buy a few, if not all of the new line, as well.

If this goes on for other "real Vintage" collectors, then the overall amount of potential buyers must be increased.

My hopes are not high. I'll probably do the same thing I did with Legacy, check HTS several times a day so I can get the figures that way before they sell out the same day.

My prediction is that it will be fine at first since they are starting over. They definately will want to "hook" collectors. However, I believe that after a few months it will revert back to the same scattered, odd distribution we all love and enjoy.
