yeah he's great. Love the detail on that figure. The cloth cape is really well done too. If I had one complaint it would be the bending mace

My ex-wife and I collected just about everything LOTR from Toybiz when we could and from my understanding the AUSTRALIAN ONLY releases of Helm's Deep Gimli and Boromir in TTT half moon boxes only numbered 500. We were lucky since we're Australian and managed to find a good number of both of these on the shelves to use as trades.

BTW I've got a stack of LOTR stuff including some horse and rider sets that I need to offload so when I get the chance I will go through everything and list it here.

They could not get this into stores because of it's size and cost. Re-tooled it to about the same size at Treebeard and would have cost $30 but it got shot down. :sorrow:
Thanks for the link, I would have been happy with that size balrog, don't know if I'll ever pull the trigger on the NECA version simply because of his size. The SDCC Stay Puft and Big AT-AT and BMF all have limited displays possibilities due to their awesome scale. It also mentions Gandalf's fireworks cart in that article, I did not know that was planned - would have been a good pack-in for a dirty Merry & Pippin 2 pack.

Gotta say, out of my Toybiz collection, the top three figures for me were:

    1) Sauron (awesome armour, detailing, Mace, scary light up red eyes, and epic vocals - Booyah!)
    2) King Elendil (Love his armour, helm, Sword - nothing but Last Alliance goodness - Battle-on!)
    3) Gil-galad (Awesome Elf Lord - Spear and Sheild accessories are unique and look 'Kick-Puncher' Epic! Love the blue detailing on his armour!)

Is anyone still into these at all? My wife and I had all of the figures in the "half moon boxes" and more in the "Trilogy" packaging as well as most of the larger multi-figure battle packs. However, after our divorce several years ago this is all I have left of my collection.

10 x FOTR figures in green half moon packaging:
Gandalf with light up staff action
Strider with sword drawing and slashing action
Witch King Ringwraith with sword lunging action
New Born Lurtz with realistic battle attack action
Samwise Gamgee with Moria Mines goblin battle action base
Travelling Bilbo with Bag End diorama and travelling gear
Elrond with Elven sword attack action
Gimli with battle axe swinging action
Orc Warrior with axe hacking and arrow launching actions
Aragorn with real arrow launching action

4 x Deluxe Horse and Rider sets
    Aragorn and Brego
Arwen and Asfoloth with wounded frodo
    Gandalf the White and Shadowfax
Ringwraith and Horse (in red FOTR box)

It might be time to sell them if there is enough interest as they are just taking up too much real estate here.

BTW, This is NOT a classified this is just stating what I have. If they go up for sale they WILL be posted in the classifieds area.
