Stan's 1/12/2011 list noted this with a 2012-13 release time frame.
Since the release of the Comic Pack Owen Lars in 2010, most have speculated that figure would get some minor updates to become a OT era Owen.
What do you think of the possibility?

Well it IS a virtual certainty.
But I just didn't feel like waiting all that long and took matters into my own hands over the summer. I made my own Custom Owen.
Besides which, I figure we're probably going to get a really pin-headed Owen by the time he comes out, so I think I'm likely going to stick with my custom.

Pass.
Big Sith Infiltrator for 2012!
I'd love to get an ANH Uncle Owen.
The POTF2 version worked for its time, but the quality of today's figures make it look terrible.
And I'm not sure a reworked AOTC Owen would work.
Easy pass.
The Star Wars line needs more EU figures!

Its the Comic pack version they should use, that is 95% there anyway.Originally Posted by GrandAdmiralFel

long over due, maybe they'll use the PT versions body for the base of the new OT version.
If they retool or simply repaint the comic pack Owen for an ANH release, I'd like to see an all new Beru in the same wave, I dont think I'd buy another one of him if she wasnt updated too.
Can't wait for this one. He's on my wishlist.

Yeah, others have noted that as well, I mentioned it in the lead post. The CP Owen Lars is pretty much dead on. They just need to repaint the undershirt, and then probably repaint the head as well - I'm not sure there's even new sculpting involved.Originally Posted by Idpullthecurtain
At any rate, if they want to fill in a vintage wave with a cheap to produce figure, this is where they should go instead of providing us with yet another clone.
