the prototype was 3D printed out of an ABS-type plastic/resin material...not exactly sure what it is. all the copies will be resin and thus cheaper. it's not necessarily about the cost being spread between a few people; the model making process is usually the cost of parts & labor for the builder, plus materials for casting. in the case of this model, i am selling the master copy to a producer
and thanks for all the compliments! i'll continue to do what i can!!!

    Gotta love that super-small detail.

Got a lot more done this weekend...this update is long overdue...

Sanded and re-primed the top & bottom hulls, filled in the undercuts on the top hull, added a little more beef to the wings, added some larger paneling to the wings, smoothed and added a bunch of detail to the main engine (now ready for final priming coat), scribed and paneling the whole bottom half, sanded the side engines smooth and added the scribing template to the top half. The bottom half is ready for it's final priming coat, too.

Scribing for the top half is going to require a very light touch...the final result should NOT be a look resembling the paneling on many Titanium Series ships. It should be pretty fine but at the same time deep enough to catch the light just right. If all goes well, the final coat of primer should clean them up perfectly.

Wow, looks great Aack! Diggin' those panel lines. Agreed, subtle lines add scale to capital ships.

Got some more scribing done on the upper hull. I added some more PE details along the trench sides, etc. Getting really close to finishing up on this reeeeeeeal soon. Just have to finish up the engines and the sensor dishes.

Dude, I've run out of superlatives. That is some sick ****! Congratulations, you must be quite proud to have brought it to life. I know I'd be, were I so talented.

BTW, I saw Ep. 1 in 3D last week and the Gozanti Cruiser looks particularly amazing in 3D. Jar-Jar? Not so much.
