C'mon. Give me a break. He died in TPM. End of story.
There is really way too much Maul stuff out there...I'm certainly not going to add this wacky thing to my collection.

I thought Maul was cool as anything, but that EU story was lame to say the least. That aside, it is a great looking statue. I missed out on the first TPM statue and i really think that this would look VERY cool next to my soon to arrive Darth Talon PF.

I'll [reluctantly] pass as i don't have the money or the room anymore. (I might pup myself down for a Flexpay version if the exclusive becomes available again. )

I've ordered the exclusive. I don't like the EU story this is based on but it's Sith, Darth Maul, and looks fantastic IMO so I had to buy it.

Agreed on all counts. Though this is totally out of left field, this thing looks amazing!

having said all of that, I would be interested in purchasing one for $100 down the road to customize. snap it into two, and make a proper lower portion for a really cool maul! or maybe just make it into a 1/4 scale bust?

In the preview pic I was seriously hoping for a Marvel Deadpool Comiquette, at the least maybe the Maul LSB...But I was shocked seeing this...I can't believe that SSC made this. With all the various characters in the Star Wars Universe, why make another PF on a character that has been already well represented by SSC. This is fifth SSC attempt (PF, 1:1 bust, Diorama & 12") do we really need a 6th or 7th verison of Maul?
In one Sideshow's many Q & A, they mentioned that a sith was coming out, I expected the Emperor, not this. What a waste of time and at this point another wasted year of an obscure character that gets more precedence than characters we really want to see..Where is C-3PO, R2, Chewy, ESB Fett, Stormtrooper, Emperor, EPIII Obi, Qui-Gon, Snowtrooper, ROTJ Vader, ESB Han, Padme Sideshow???? Stop EU characters!

Whether we are fans of the EU or not doesn't seem to matter really. Obviously SS sells enough EU stuff to warrant more. Personally I'm not a huge fan but there is SOME EU I like. The Thrawn trilogy is good and I really liked SOTE among a very few others. I'll be passing on this one(Not really my taste) but I have to give BIG props to the artists that worked on this because they did an outstanding job and for thinking outside the box. It all comes down to personal preference. There is no right or wrong it's all personal choices. Places like SS and GG can't win. If they do all OT the PT and EU fans whine. If they do to much PT and EU the OT fans whine. I guess there is no pleasing everyone but it sure is a fun ride. Right?
