I'm guessing there is just a ball socket under the helmet and no real head per se.

$730 at Razor's Edge. Still too much for me.
Hmmm, this is an odd one. My thoughts....
1) As others have said it has the same (incorrect) tapering of the visor that the MR had. I'm therefore wondering if SSC has just recast an MR (for the proto)
2) The paint job isn't anywhere near as good as the MR (I'm looking at hi-res pics)
3) Is the helmet wearable? If so I'm confused at the overlap in licenses between SSC and MR/e-FX
It is a nice bust - but given we've fairly recently had a better product from MR, I'll be passing.
Cheers

SS said somewhere that the helmet will not be wearable so I'm thinking it's going to be on some sort of ball joint so the head can move.

For anyone interested, NSide now has the bust up for $751.99. After the 5% RS discount, it comes to $714.39 (plus shipping).

From SS's site:
Please note that no portion of this product is intended for wear or for use as a costume item.
TK/TB/CC-5400
Well I guess that makes sense then from a licensing perspective. eFX make helmets you could wear (although are not supposed to), whereas SSC make "non wearable" busts.
However stick one of these up on your display cabinet and you KNOW the first person that see's it is going to want to plonk it on their head
Looking at the photos it looks to me like the visor isnt actually transparent but painted black - so again that backs up the "non-wearable" aspect

That is what I sensed as well and another of my initial reasons I would not want this while already having the MR LE. Great item as a stand-alone by itself, but it pales in comparison with the MR piece.Originally Posted by StarWarsHelmets

Wow....Not sure how I feel still, but this is making me seriously consider taking the flex-pay plunge!
