    6 Jawas or Ugnaughts, maybe.

I like the vintage line, but probably it's the packaging that catches my eye, just for the nostalgia. I hope they don't all come with the stupid clamshell - openers don't need em and I don't want to pay extra for them. I'm more excited for Vintage Boba Fett with the rocket than most of the rest of it. I will pick up a few choice items, but that's about it. Money is becoming an issue as well. I know oil isn't getting cheaper, but price increases just suck and cause people to exit the market.

The new Vintage collection won't include the clamshells, and will stay at the $7.99 MSRP, Hasbro confirmed that. The figures look pretty good for the most part, but some of them are just WTFs... Han with his snow coat open? Really? We don't have a decent Bespin Han yet, and this year being the anniversary would be the perfect time for that, but instead we get a slightly different take on a figure we've already seen 4(!!!) times in the past 2 years? And Vader, again... with a slight improvement, again... GFY, Hasbro. Luckily without the BAD concept, I won't feel compelled to be a completist with this line. I'm excited for Dengar, Bespin Luke, Hoth Leia, and the (repack) ESB Evo Fett on a Vintage card, though I wish they'd finally give him a bigger and more accurate helmet, but the rest are just kinda "meh". I'll probably pick up Dak to go with a Snowspeeder, but not super excited for that. The mail-away Fett is cool I guess, but again, not something that I'm super excited for.

The AT-AT has me excited, and I'll probably pick up one or two Snowspeeders to go with it. The Cloud Car doesn't have me excited though. I always thought that vehicle was lame. Adding missile launchers to it doesn't make it any less lame. I think there was a missed opportunity to finally do a Snowtrooper Commander figure to go with the AT-AT. That's too bad.

The Clone Wars figures look pretty decent to me, but I'm pretty turned off from that show right now. Not sure that I'll continue wasting money on this line.

I would've liked to have seen the second wave of Vintage, too. I think Hasbro dropped the ball on that. Aside from the AT-AT, this seemed to be a less-exciting-than-usual Toy Fair. And with ANOTHER 7 month gap until new items show up, I think Hasbro is going to alienate and lose even more collectors. Way to go, Hasbro. Looks like I'll be able to pass on a lot of stuff this year. My wallet will be happy about that.

All in all, AT-AT = awesome, I can't wait, will buy it immediately when it's released. Everything else = big meh, will pick some of it up at some point if I'm bored. If I don't forget that I'm a Star Wars collector before August.

I have been just buying one set to open for the past 2 years but now I am compelled to buy 2 sets to keep one MOC. I never sold off my VTOC figures so I can just continue with that theme. This a very smart move by Hasbro; there is a ton positive response in the main threads. Hopefully this will bring back many of the collectors who abandoned the line over the last few years.

I am more excited about the Lego stuff I have seen so far though, the Lego Boba Fett minifigure is absolutely awesome!

Agreed. Between that and the new Han in Carbonite, it's going to be a hard decision whether or not to pick up the new Slave I. I still have the version from 2006 to build...

Like most, I think the AT-AT looks awesome. As far as the vintage figures, I think they're great. I have always loved the look of the original line, so now I'm torn whether to look into doing this line carded or not. Most likely, I'll just open them and keep the card in good shape to hang on to. Plus I dig the fact that this packaging should take up less room.

Picked up a Scramble on Yavin BP today at Kmart in Lodi. This is the most I have spent ($21 and change after coupon) on a SW item in at least 8 months. Now deciding what to do with it...

Hey guys I've been out of the Star Wars game for a while now but I was in Portland over the past week and we went to one of the malls up there and I was surprised to find an all Star Wars store. This place was impressive they had pretty much anything and everything you could think of from POTF - current. All mint too. They carried Legos as well. I brought this up for a couple reasons A) they have a website StarWarsStore.com (surprised they can get away with that) and I was browsing craigslist for toys and it looks like there is a similar store in Folsom. link

Hit several stores this morning. Remnants of TLC ESB wave at two, and new TLC Speeders w/ Biker Scouts and STAPS w/ BDs at Concord Dawn (maybe we should change this planet name, now that they've changed the name on the CW show to Concordia....I think that's the new name. )
