Hey guys, my friend wanted me to pass this along -he's doing some kind of broad-scale poll, and wanted varying opinions. I'm not really well read on Joe comics, myself, unfortunately. Thanks for reading. Check it out.
**This is what you really want! Larry Hama continues his original and ground-breaking G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero saga with the VERY NEXT ISSUE (but, you know, 15 years later).
IDW Publishing just announced for its FCBD (Free Comic Book Day) book it is releasing an original comic book that takes place directly after the last Marvel issue #155 that was published in 1995. It is called 155 1/2 & written by Larry Hama, the original creator of the GI Joe comic series.
See the link below for more details.

This brings up a huge question in the GI Joe world: should Hama fit #155 1/2 and the continuing issues in the same continuity created by him and followed up by Devil's Due Publishing stories which ran from from 2001 to 2008. Or just disregard those stories and allow Hama to continue without the DDP stories being part of the known future, effectively making those stories an alternate universe kind of situation.
Poll Question:
Should issue #155 1/2 fit in between the Marvel & DDP series?
Poll answers:
Yes
No
I Don't Care
