I think the whole thing needs a new direction and using some different characters. I loved TFA and would like to see a more adult cartoon, just praying they stay the hell away from the Bayverse or produce anything like RID or A/E/C

Update on the New Show

For competitive reasons, this was the only show they announced for the new network today. However they were willing to drop some names of the talent who will be working on programming for them such as Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci who wrote the scripts for “Transformers” and “Transformers Revenge of the Fallen”. While no specifics were given, Hasbro also announced today a new 2010 initiative for Transformers called “Hunt for the Decepticons”. Could these two be working on a new Transformers television series? Others working on projects for the new network are Will Smith and Overbook Entertainment partner James Lassiter who are working on a pilot for the network, Jeff Kline who is a well-regarded animation show writers in the business (produced Men In Black and the Jackie Chan Adventures), and Adam Beechen who wrote shows for Scooby Doo and Ben 10.

I hope the new series isn't connected to the movieverse. but in a way it might be a good way to tie everything together.
I really hope this is good. Im so down on TF at the moment, the face art from the new comic really has been the final nail for me.
My main problem was I loved TFA after ther years of dodgy series after Beast Wars it brought me back to the fandom. Just hope they continue with some of the talent from TFA.

In their new interview with Generation 1 voice actor Michael Bell (voice of Scrapper, Prowl, Swoop, Sideswipe and many others), the Moonbase 2 has unearthed the first pieces of definite news about the upcoming Transformers cartoon

*Sue Blue is casting, so that means she's probably directing!
*Bell auditioned for Ratchet, and also a (presumably human) character named "General Fowler"
*David Sobolov (BW Depth Charge) has also auditioned!
Bell also mentioned a new G.I. Joe series that will run for 26 episodes (perhaps that means Transformers will run that long as well), and that he auditioned for General Hawk.

I know this is unlikely, but I would like to see something similiar to Generation 1, but darker. Storylines like the Furman run toward the end of the Transformers Marvel comic. As a bonus they could continue the Universe toyline.
Go Salukis!
Go NY Rangers!
Since the show will be aimed at kids they can't really go that dark, a new series will most likely be like Transformers Animated - very light hearted and entertaining.
I can only see Bell as one of the g1 characters. He also did Brainstorm, First Aid, Bombshell, and Gort.
