    Re: DarthSinister\'s: Poor-Man\'s Customs

You must pardon my ignorance as I know nothing about Customising fugures, up to now I've been making diormamas.

Am I right in assuming you converted other figures to make this one, plus added some of your own ideas? Am I also right in assuming that the photo at the top of this post is an acutal creation of yours?

If so, that is SSSSSSWWWWWWEEEEEEEETTTTTT and then some....

I am totally impressed, nay awestruck.

Dude, I love this concept! I admit at first I thought it was a real object that you made with your hands. But after looking a little closer I did see some tell tale signs. Even so this is amazing. It doesn't matter that it was made using a computer program or real figs. a lot of thought and imagination went in to these.

I think you should call these virtual customs. I think the way I've been doing customs is more of a poor mans version. Computers and the PhotoShop programs arn't that cheap. You have the talent and the creativity to make these in the computer, I would like to see you do some real life customs.
You can get some fodder for cheap on Ebay or check out toy shows. Sometimes you can get a lot of figs no one wants for cheap.

Thats not to say that you should stop what you've been doing. It's just me, I like pretty much all the aspects of customizing, it's very therapeutic at times. But keep up the great and inventive work, show more please.

Hangarbay94 glad you liked them. These are all digitally created using the RebelScum photo archive, other figure archives and Photoshop7. No real figures are harmed in the process.

The characters, so far, are MARVEL comics era characters and I do put my own spin on them.

BanthaRawk I like that. "Virtual Customs" I have to tell you though creating these is also very therapeutic as well.

I have created some REAL customs in the past but I have none to show since I threw them out along with a lot of other figures and half my comic book collection about 4 years ago when we were devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

    Thanks Again!

I guess thats another good reason to just have them on the computer. I think thats a situation that we all dread happening in our lives. It also means less stuff you have to take with you if you have to move. Its a good way to streamline your life and still be creative.

Do you have any plans for non Marvel characters in the future? What ever you do I'll look forward to it.

    Anyone like Bounty Hunters?

This guy was tough enough to take on Darth Vader single handedly. He lost, but he still gave him HELL.

Valance The Hunter was an awesome character and was based on Lee Marvin's character in the movie "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance." Also staring the late great John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart.
    Get a load....

    VALANCE THE HUNTER

Holy [censored]! That Valance is awsome. Hasbro kind of hinted at this guy coming out down the road, hope they use some of your ideas when making him. Always one of my favorite bad guys from those early stories. Can't wait to see whats next from you.
