Some days, it just doesn't seem worth the effort of chewing through the restraints!
Never heard of him. Rest in peace anyway.
Little-known fact: the original concept for the TV series Kolchak: The Night Stalker would have had Darren McGavin's Carl Kolchak tracking a vampire across the country every week. That vampire was to have been played by Robert Quarry, a good friend of McGavin's. Unfortunately, Quarry's contract with American International Pictures prohibited him from playing horror roles (specifically vampires) for any other studio or network. This, idea was scrapped and Kolchak became a monster-if-the-week series.
