A bit of sad news if they do because I love the MU line!
I also try my best to support it, but when the local retail doesn't carry it or I'm even unable to find figures at stores when I travel it's a bit frustrating!

Plus al they seem to want to do is keep releasing the same core characters in various outfits, when I'm actually after one of EVERY character!

At this point oh well, if they don't want my money that's fine.
Honestly I'm tired of going out of my way and jumping through hoops to give it to them anyways!
Looking for: MU Angel(Blue), Nova, and Daredevil(from comic),

It could've been a great line. I attribute its rumored death to the Marvel Summer movies. MU production would ramp down early every year to support the Marvel movie lines and by late Summer the MU pegs would get hit fairly well through Black Friday. What about January through June? That's 6 months of one kit-bash wave and a few revision cases of old sculpts (and maybe some figures in those revisions might get blessed with a running change variant).
Unfortunately for the MU line Marvel will continue to have movies every Spring & Summer!

I could think of a good 50 characters id buy. Hasbro isn't canning the line because it doesn't sell. There canning it cause their a bunch of absolute Morons who wouldn't know what their customers want even when they are told.

I totally agree here. While im 99% a SW collector(Vintage and Sideshow). This is pretty much the only product i buy from Hasbro. This is pretty dumb on their part. Then again, they need to get the new product out. I can never find anything new in my area. The only place ive ever REALLY seen the "new" or "variant" figures are at local Grocery Stores. Nec=ver and i mean NEVER at Target or Wal-Mart or Toys R Us

Very dumb move, if its true, but nothing Hasbro does suprises me.

It would be a shame to see this line go. We all need to drop them a line (positively and constructively) to keep this line alive!

Keep in mind, it's just a rumor. I can't see them going away from this line. The Movie lines really don't sell, and the legends only sell because you see them once and never again- so you buy them out of necessity . I don't collect the Legends, NEVER saw any of Wave 1 , and bought all of wave 2, just because it was there. Killing this line would destroy a big market. I buy 2-3 of every figure, an opener and a couple for customizing. After the Joe fiasco, and nothing new in the way, Hasnro is left with the craptastic Clone Wars and the tired Star Wars line... If it happens I guess I'm Finally done collecting...,

What they should do is spread out the waves out a bit and actually try to get product to shelves. Instead of shying away from competing with their movie lines, they should have MU waves on pegs to help supplement the movie stuff. MU waves that are coming out around a movie's release should feature some figures that tied into that movie's character.

For instance, next spring's MU wave should feature an Iron Man and 1-2 Iron Man comic-based characters. In the fall, MU should feature some Thor comic-based characters. Why they're not doing this is beyond me. This would help bring attention from new fans from the movie into the MU line and vast universe of Marvel characters.

I don't believe this. Why would they kill one the hottest action figure lines in world right now. Well, if it is a gonner, i say sayonara Hasbro. But i hope they pump out waves 18-21 before they do. Personally if i were them i'd put out 4 waves a year (one every 3 months) with no more than 4 characters. So 3 each. in a case. They then put all the re-released figs on HTS. Well i've heard DC direct is doing a 3.75" line at 12.99 each. If Mu goes away perhaps i'll look into that.

I hope this rumor is wrong indeed - this is my favorite line right now.

But I guess I could see where they might get the idea from. If all the talk is true about all of the Marvel movies they are looking to churn out, then maybe they just keep churning out figures in movie lines? If they did this I would REALLY hope they would of course do both film and comic stylized figures, and also do the comic figures at least in the current MU style in terms of paint and articulation.
