I tried to buy some of the new stuff today at Walmart but they won't ring up at all. As soon as the cashier tried, the screen flashed "do not sell". I don't mind waiting until the 26th, I just thought if I could get it done now, then I could relax. I don't know why the boxes were even out on the floor since it has a release date on it.
I only noticed one "1st day " figure in each box. Most of the figures look pretty cool.

same story here... big display of figs on the floor, and denied at the register. all the new stuff should be good and beat up, or lost in the back of wal-mart by the 26th.
Way to go Hasbro- you and your incompetent retail partners have managed to blunder yet another "big release"! just send the stores the goods, let them sell it, and then we, the consumer, will buy it already!!

Why blame Hasbro?? They send it out early to make sure it gets to Wal-Mart, Target, or where ever in enough time for the July 26th release date. Not their fault that Wal-Mart puts them out early when they are clearly marked not to before July 26th.

Plantation target had a case worth of the Clone wars figures on the shelf this morning. Passed at 7.99 a figure.

I know WM should be about $6.64 each.

I really think I will skip TRU/Target if prices are that high on the 26th.

I'm sure the Holo Grievous will be everywhere.

I still think you will find the BMF/AT-TE at clearance over time. With gas and economic concerns who's really got $250 to drop on these 2 items.

Man, this one Target hasn't disappointed in three consecutive visits so far the last couple of weeks. This time they had a case of the Clone Wars figures on the pegs.

Even at $7.99, I bought a Capt. Rex (mostly to to cannibalize the weapons...eeeeh), and got 4 of the 1St Day of Release figures, which I'll probably put up for trade here once the rest of the figures come out. Normally I don't buy figs I don't intend to open, but I thought what the heck, kids don't care about a sticker on a the package of a figure they are going to be playing with...

I wish that were the case but sometimes its just not worth it. Couple months ago I saw some of the "Movie Masters" Batman figures out and was floored at how realistic they looked. I wanted to get a couple but none of the stockpersons spoke english so it took about 30 minutes and a conference of about six employees to determine what I wanted and if they could sell them to me since their initial scans said they weren't supposed to be out for another three days (they originally thought I just wanted free boxes to take home).

In retrospect I'm glad I did because days later they all vanished due to morbid scalpers profiting off death
