I don't care if they put more CGI in it than Indiana Jones, and hire Keanu Reeves to play Alex Murphy, I will still be there opening night with my 9 bucks in hand.

It's sick right? I'm such a hopeless and hapless Robocop fanboy that I'm already pledging that I will go see this damn movie no matter what they decide to do to it.

It's unfortunate, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing they could do to this movie that would make me NOT want to go see it out of morbid curiousity. They could bring back Lewis and have her be Murphy's Robo-girlfriend, and even if they had Paris Hilton play her....I'd probably still go see the damn thing. I'm not saying I wouldn't bring a fifth of the Captain in there with me and mix it with my Large coke until I started throwing stuff at the screen....but I'd still go.

No, sorry, just because I watched RoboCop 3 doesn't mean I liked it! If I liked every piece of crap I had to watch as a reviewer, I'd probably be getting my blurbs on every DVD release!

I did like RoboCop: The Series, but detested that mini-series thing they had a few years back, where the guy playing Murphy was a midget (or is the PC term now "vertically-challenged person")!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Robocop 3 sucked. Now, if this new movie isn't rated R, then it will probably suck as well ...

Sorry, but Peter Weller is the only Robocop. Just like Ahh-nold is the only (original) Terminator, and Stallone is the only Rambo.

Well, I wouldn't put too much strength in that argument. Peter Weller was brilliant as Robocop. No question. That doesn't necessarily mean no one else can play the part convincingly. Just look at Daniel Craig as James Bond. He got lots of praises for his performance that has had a few excellent actors play the role before him. Plus David Tenant is great as the 10th Doctor in Doctor Who.

Take Batman for example. Michael Keaton did an excellent job as Batman. They replaced him Val Kilmer and then Clooney and they sucked. So if one had said "Michael Keaton is the only Batman" they were right. I'm not counting the new one since it's a completely different spin on the series.

So yes, Peter Weller is the only one who can do Robocop. Just like Robert Englund is the only one who can pull off Freddy, Harrison Ford is the only one who can pull off Han, Peter Cullen is the only Prime and Arcee is the only one who can be the most hated character in history

So, by that rationale, if the new Robocop movie is not a direct sequel but rather a new take on the property, then you won't have any trouble with the casting?
