    FAQs and Information about AFA

Hello Everyone. I am very happy that there is finally a section dedicated to AFA where people who collect graded pieces and people who are simply interested in grading can discuss related issues.

I have been involved in the collectible toy industry for over 10 years and have a great deal of knowledge when it comes to Star Wars toys and collectibles. I am also very familiar with AFA's services, grading system, and processes. For those who aren't familiar with me, I also provide the authentication services offered by AFA for many prototypes and rare toy variations through my company, Collectible Investment Brokerage.

While I don't have as much time as I would like to check these forums, I will do my best to help answer any grading questions and also to help take care of any problems that any forum member may experience. While problems are rare, they do occur given the volume AFA does, but I want people who participate in these forums and support the idea of grading to have someone they can turn to in order to solve any problems which may arise as easily as possible.

In addition, I plan to write a long description of the AFA process, grading criteria, and helpful tips involving packaging toys for shipment, what to look for when trying to figure out what your toy will grade, and other useful information. I hope that this will help ensure that your experience with getting your prized toys graded is a pleasant one. I should be able to post this detailed information within one month.

It is nice to meet everyone here and I look forward to assisting anyone with their questions as well as any other help I can provide.

    Thank you

    Tom

Thanks for participating in this new section, Tom. I also think the resource you plan to develop in a future post will be extremely useful! If you'd like, I can sticky that post for you when you make it since I imagine it will be a definitive resource for AFA collectors.
