    Droids MOC Card Color Variation

This is probably a question that has been asked and answered before, but I don't know the answer so I am going to ask again. I have several of the Droids cartoon figures MOC. I have noticed that there is a variation in the color of the Cards. Some are really Blue Blue, and a few are sort of a teal Blue. Is this just fading of the color over time? Were they all Blue Blue back in the day? Was this due to where they were made? I can post pics later, but I am guessing that if you know the answer you know what I am talking about. Thanks in advance!

Yeah - there are clear differences in the blue logo at the top, especially with Tig & Sise. I don't think it has anything to do with fading.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. The R2 is more of a teal blue and the Uncle Gundy is more of a true blue. Bill, what differences did you notice in the top logo? Maybe I didn't look close enough, but I didn't see anything super obvious.

I should these figures to a friend of mine, and he thought that perhaps the darker blue cardbacks are from the start of the printing run, and the lighter or more teal blue are from the middle to the end of the printing run. That might explain why the blue, yellow, everything is a little lighter. Also, I don't think it is specific to a particular figure or figures. I have a Kea Moll that is lighter, but i have seen darker ones. So maybe it's like a newspaper printing, the start of the print, when the ink was think and dense caused more color to get put on the card. Maybe?

I was talking the color variations in the whole top 1/4 of the card. The Droids logo. There's probably a better term for it.

Oh! Yup, I get what you mean. I was meaning the same thing. I thought you meant there was some variation in design or font or something, and if there was i totally missed that.

Yeah, there is a color difference in the whole top part of the card like you said.

    Header?

But just typing "header" is too short of a reply for this forum, so here is some more text!
