If you could own only one non-UCS Slave I, which kit would it be?

My favorite is Lego 8097. The first several made were very small, when this one came out it was the top of the heap. Lots of little surprises in the build. Good Luck!

    Excellent thread!

Probably the UCS SSD. It came out just after I got out of collecting LSW and we were overseas at the time so I wasn't even aware of it at the time.

Of all the UCS sets I owned but sold it's the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon that I most regret losing. Mostly because it was the only one I didn't get to build.

Annnnd I just realised I misinterpretted the point of the conversation.

So the right answer would be 20019 - I've owned all the rest (still have a boxed/mint/wrapped 7144).

    Probably 7144.

Give it a display stand similar to the UCS one.

Would make a nice history of the LEGO Slave I sort of display.

The more modern ones seem redundant next to the UCS version.

As of right now, 8097 is definitely the best System-scale version of the ship. It was also released nearly 8 (!) years ago, so we could be due for a new version in the next couple of years.

There's the 28 to 30 stud long Slave I rumoured to be coming with the Cloud City set.

Off the top of my head that would put it around the size of the original 7144 one wouldn't it?
