WHAT!? You have to build these, is this Lego or something.
it was actually quite a decent build. the entire roof rack needs to be assembled (minus the lights and electronics) as well as the wheels, rear door, headlights, and other accessories.. all in all took about 20 minutes to build it but I had a blast and felt like a kid again making this.

I took some more pictures of the firehouse and the Ecto using some of the 3.75" figures that I had lying around at the time to show the scale. The Ecto is not to scale with 1:18th figures but still looks great around them.

    - Twin Peaks and Suicide Squad visit NYC and The Ghostbusters

    - Janine takes the Ecto 1 for a spin
    - interior shots of how the packs are stored in the Ecto 1

    - killer Bob from Twin Peaks climbs the stairs to Janine's Office
    - Doctor Spengler.. I don't know why I can't find the droids I'm looking for
foreshadowing of the 2016 Answer the Call Ghostbusters as Rowan drops by for a visit
    - Time for some Hot Dogs in NYC

Log Lady and Janine are frightened by the Library Ghost in Janine's Office

I apologize for the messy background in the pictures as I took these really quick while on my lunch break (only had about 40 minutes) I'm going to try to take some better pictures with a better background
Longing for the Good Old Kenner Days where SW Figures were in great supply and everyone was able to find their favorite characters etc..... Hasbro you need to follow this example ! Twitter: @SWChamp

You gotta love the gentleman ghost figure Playmobil made. I think his name would be "Rich Uncle Herman".

So I'm guessing the 3.75" figures don't actually fit in the car. lol

sadly no. I tried fitting a modern G.I. Joe in the driver's seat and it's no good. I even had to make him sit somewhat side saddle in the seat and the roof still would not fit back on the car. the only other thing I can think of that "might" work is if you dremel out the wall under the steering wheel and console to enable the figures to have their legs go under the console.

Playmobil is 1:24th scale so the sets are slightly off. the figures work with the buildings and other playmobil sets but not the vehicles.

still they are great sets if you are looking for cool background environments. I'm tempted to buy the recent Egyptian sets like the Pharaoh's tomb and sphinx

Good luck finding either a vintage Kenner RGB Ecto-1 or an Extreme Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (my brother and I used to own one).

I have 6 RGB Ecto's (both Ecto 1 and the Ecto 1A) and 1 Extreme Ecto in my collection. The RGB Ecto can be found for cheap at times at various shows etc and in decent shape. I'm currently working on 5 different custom versions of the RGB Ecto. but 3.75" figures are way to small and out of scale as the car was made for the 5" RGB line.

Hot Wheels makes a 1:18th scale ecto 1 but again is does not fit figures. There might be a 1:16th scale model but I do not know if that would fit figures without modifications.

the Hot Wheels 30th Anniversary Ecto-1 is about the closet scaled Ecto currently available as it comes with 3.75" scaled (non articulated) figures but again requires modifications in order for the figures to fit.
