Incredible bidding prices for AFA 90 Kenner 12 backs on Brian's Toys

The title almost says it all!!

The reason I am posting on this section is that almost all the current high bidders are zero hit ebayers?! IMO take caution!!!!

The Luke is currently the highest price!!

Crazy, that and the Chewbacca that ended up at $9,077.77. There was also at AFA 85 Leia that sold for $5,955.13.

Yeah, I saw that earlier and asked the exact same question in the big thread thats been ongoing since these auctions started. Shill bidding at its finest. It's still fun to watch though. haha.

How does one ship $12k? US Post office only insures about half that value? I think the same for UPS and Fed Ex... Anyone know to how to ship $5k+ safely?

I would hate to have a $12k fig (obviously worth $10 meeellion dollars eventually) die in transit... (personally I'd fly round trip first class and have $11k to spare...)

I've never bothered to research this, but I bet there are courier services that specialize in shipping high end valuables. It's got to be pretty pricey though. Flying to pick up an item like that up yourself would probably be cheaper.

Well... that's the most obvious case of shill bidding on an item yet. I'm not sure which I'm more concerned by, the blatant shill bidding or the ridiculous amount that the item sold for.

    Don
who will gladly sell some 12 back if they're getting that price.
