I have been visiting Rebelscum since it started in the 90s and was there for the amazing craziness of the 1970s. I guess you can say Star Wars has always been a part of my life. It fueled my imagination as a kid which inspired me to become a professional artist. Today, as a 38 year old, I am in love with Star Wars as much as I ever have. A dream of mine has always been to draw Star Wars officially so I am thrilled to be working on my first batch of SW sketch cards for Topps which are due out later this year. I am also a former Disney animator, and the artist/creator of the all ages graphic novel series KORGI published by Top Shelf. To see more of my work check out http://www.christianslade.com

I will post Star Wars original artwork here in this thread as it becomes available. I recently exhibited at a SW art show here in Central Florida which featured four of my original SW paintings. I will be posting these for sale to kick off this thread.

I am looking forward to hanging out with everyone here and discussing the best films in the world!...... and of course those amazing collectibles that came from them.

I caught sight of these during the latest email blitz, and I kinda fell in love with these (despite the [gulp] high price). I managed to convince my credit card that I was worthy of of the small X-Wing plate, and I just got it in the mail today. My birthday's coming up...

What do you guys think? They seem to be VERY limited in their run, and I love the print-on-aluminum look of them (&&). I also picked up the unlimited 3x5 aluminum X-Wing sketch drawing too. Seemed the natural companion for my wall.

I might have gone for the smaller falcon plate too, except for the fact that the name "Millennium Falcon" is inked onto it. The FACTORY doesn't get to name a man's ship, does it? And the X-Wing plate doesn't say 'Red-5' on it... Well, despite my grumblings, I wouldn't refuse the $2k big falcon plate if someone wants to give it to me.
