As the title suggests this is a family edition where 10 past contestants (I wouldn't say they're favourites by any means) will be versing their family members who will make up the other tribe. This could make a merge and swap more interesting as family members would probably join forces and it'll create numbers easily.

I really don't know how to put this without sounding like a putz so I'll just come out and say it.

I see a lot of "Thank a Veteran for Memorial Day" stuff and every year there are a couple threads on exactly that.

There's one problem. The Veterans have their own day. It's at the end of the year in November. Memorial Day is not for the living.

Memorial Day is for my buddy that I flew with in Bosnia in '97-98:

who crashed at Ft Polk in 2002 leaving a young wife.

It's for another buddy of mine that I flew with in 4/2 ACR:

who was shot down in Iraq and is now buried at Arlington.

If you want to really do something for the day, find a family of a Vet who ended up giving everything, literally, for the job and do something nice for them.

I have no idea if this makes sense outside of my head but it kinda bugs me every year.

Christopher Nolan Approached for Bond 24?

The Daily Mail is reporting that The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has been approached to helm the next James Bond film. They say that talks are still in the early/informal stages with Nolan and his representatives but that Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have started courting him for the job.

Previous reports on "Bond 24" indicate that the screenplay is currently being worked on, with MGM eyeing a release for the project within the next three years. Should Nolan sign on, this timetable might need to be altered to accomodate his schedule (he is currently working on Interstellar, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 7, 2014).Nolan's track record, however, shows he is capable of churning out big projects in less than two years, so a 2016 release date isn't out of the question. Chris is an outspoken fan of James Bond and has expressed interest in directing one of the films in the past, so don't be surprised if this ends up happening, but for now it's just a rumor.

Arnold Schwarzenegger ("Terminator" series, Total Recall) is in negotiations to star in writer/director Steve Pink's (Hot Tub Time Machine) big budget action comedy The Toxic Avenger, produced by Akiva Goldsman, Richard Saperstein, Charlie Corwin, Stephen Kessler and Michael Benaroya. Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz will executive produce. The announcement was made today by International Film Trust's (IFT) President Ariel Veneziano who will handle all international rights to the film alongside IFT's Head of Sales Christian de Gallegos.

Set to be introduced to buyers at Cannes 2013, The Toxic Avenger is currently in pre-production and scheduled to start principal photography this fall.

Loosely based on Lloyd Kaufman's classic Troma franchise, The Toxic Avenger is the tale of a high-school kid who gets dunked in a vat of toxic waste by a corrupt chemical company. He survives the ordeal with one major side effect: upon contact with toxic chemicals, he transforms into a monster with superhuman strength. Schwarzenegger would play "the Exterminator," a former black ops agent, who trains Toxie to use his powers for good. Together they take on the lurking menace created by the polluters, and the polluters themselves.

I sold some figures on eBay and the seller accidentally hit "BIN" when I had sent him a counter offer that was $20 less. He asked if I'd refund the $20 since it was an obvious mistake and I said I would. I issued a partial refund through Paypal and see it ($19.42 - fees not included) subtracted from my account. The remainder of the Payment isn't showing as subtracted, but the Payment status is listed as "reversed," and if you hover over it, a box comes up that reads:

"PayPal reversed this payment because of a dispute or payment review. The money has been returned to the sender's PayPal account."

Is this just the label that is put on any transaction where a partial refund is given? The entire transaction has not been reversed, has it? I'm sure there will be more individual threads that pop up as time moves on, too, but I'm going to try doing the consolidated thing again.

What do we have so far?


Ant-Man has been moved down the line out of the Phase Two plan and (likely) as the kick-off for Phase Three.

Doctor Strange has all but been confirmed. I think it can only be said to NOT be confirmed because no contracts have really been signed yet.

Ms. Marvel looks like it's getting script work done. I think this would be a great tie-in between whatever we get in Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers 2, and (probably) Avengers 3.

That's three films. What else could be coming? GotG sequel? Nick Fury? A Black Widow/Hawkeye film? Maybe all of the above? Odds are also pretty good that the S.H.E.I.L.D. TV show will continue on through Phase Three, so that would play a part, too.

Now, Daredevil, Blade, Punisher, and Ghost Rider have reverted back to Marvel's control. I don't think any of these really fit in the Avengers Cinematic universe, so I don't know that they would really be part of Phase Three. I'm lumping it in here anyway. I don't know about anyone else, but I see four movies right here that could fit into a common universe, with, perhaps, a "Marvel Knights" type movie at the end of that. Whaddya say?
