I've had several questions in regard to the shift overlaps. During the overlap those that are already on duty will stay in their positions until their replacement arrives. The incumbent then trains the replacement. Once the swap is made the incumbent can then check out for that shift or go to their next shift assignment. Yeah, it can get a little messy, but it all works out.

Also, if you're working back to backs you only get credit for one hour, not two, for the overlap. Also for back to backs, when you need a break for bathroom, eating etc. you request a floater from your floor manager and then you can break.

Say that again? Overlaps? My translator is malfunctioning.. C3P0, where are you?!
What about the back-to-back? Are you saying that if a volunteer works 2 shifts in the row, it only counts as one?
Come to my rescue, Anne. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

if you work back to back only the one hour overlap counts as one hour, not two hours.

Well, yeah that's ideal, but sometimes that just doesn't work out.

Yeah, for those lucky enough to get to sit with a GOH, that wouldnt be fair to have a person working multiple shifts keep them all to themselves..... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Some of the GOH's bring their own people if I remember correctly from C3.
