View Full Version : Celebration Store Catalogue & Pre-order question

04-24-2007, 09:42 AM
At CIII a PDF with prices for items on sale in the Celebration store (Fleeces, T Shirts, etc) was produced in advance of the event. At CIV we have also been able to pre-order some non-Celebration store items in advance. Are there any such plans for Celebration Europe?

I imagine the answer is yes, but the CE shop is still being stocked and until all the items are finalised they won't be able to release anything.

I can confirm that we intend to put a full online catalogue featuring ALL Celebration Europe Souvenir Store items online at http://www.celebrationeurope.com/shop.htm

We will include photographs, info and prices as well as downloadable checklists and order forms to speed things up during the event. SELECTED items will be available for pre-order; these will ONLY be the non-exclusive items.

We currently have over 50 products in the range, all of which are 100% new and exclusive to Celebration Europe. In addition there will be items that have been seen before, but are scarce and hard to find....

We are currently in the process of photographing items and completing the range, watch this space………

CE office, Thank you!!!!

will prices be listed in different currency? I am coming from the US and I have a rough idea that Dollars suck compared to the pound...should I just assume a 2:1 rate??

We have looked at this, but as exchange rates fluctuate on a daily basis it is difficult to keep all information updated correctly.

We also have to consider UK sales tax or VAT which is normally displayed as part of the retail price and not additional at the checkout like the USA. Our VAT rate is 17.5%, don't panic, now the good bit. If you are not resident in the EU (European Union) and you visit Celebration Europe, when you leave the country you will be able to apply for a refund of any VAT charged on any products you have purchased during your trip and are taking home with you. For more information visit: http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/channelsPortalWebApp.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pageVAT_InfoGuides&propertyType=document&id=HMCE_PROD_007779

It requires a complicated bit of form filling, and is frankly a bit of a hassle, but it means you get a nice big refund from your purchases courtesy of Her Majesty's Government.

For this and other reasons all of our prices will be displayed in GB Pound Sterling otherwise displayed as £

There are several free online services that will offer live currency conversion if you want to check.

Customers should also be aware that they can purchase items at Celebration Europe with their credit or debit card. The card issuer will automatically convert the transaction to your home currency for you, often at a far better rate than that published in currency exchanges. Some card providers may apply a charge if you use your card abroad and you will need to check with them in advance, but card payments are quick, simple and safe as most card issuers offer some form of payment protection and sometimes insurance on purchases. You can also use your card to obtain cash from a nationwide network of ATM machines. There are several ‘free to use’ ATM’s provided by major UK high street banks within the ExCeL venue, please note that your card provider may charge you for using your card in an ATM abroad, you will need to check this with them.

In the Celebration Europe store we will accept: Cash, most major credit or debit cards and travelers cheques/checks IN POUND STERLING (when accompanied by a valid passport) Sorry but personal cheques/checks will not be accepted.

There will be ‘fast path’ cash only checkouts.

Hope that helps clear things up.
