so i checked the earls court web site for the events that they have planned in july of 2007. and wouldnt you know it. the have every event for every month EXCEPT july of 2007. its the only month not listed. do they not understand that we cant throw this kind of trip together at the last second. Gen Con must have reserved the days for this event. so what are those days. a flight from Arizona to London isnt even close to cheap. and the longer i wait the more expensive it gets. COME ON GEN CON. GIVE US THE OFFICIAL DATES.

I would hope the dates, and ticket sale date, may be confirmed around the same time the ticket sale date for CIV is announced?

This is nothing to do wih GENCON --- Cards Inc are runnning the event here in the UK.

Its jus prior to Comicon next year.

I did speak to Sansweet about the bad timing ( as major licensee companies all do comicon) when I was at SDCC this past summer.

Also, you can ask about travel arrangements in CE: Travelling To London (http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=2049999&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#2049999)

Will they be sold in GBP or USD or both?

Assuming that you are going to pay by credit card - does it matter? Your bill will come out in dollars. If you don't know what the exchange rate is just check the interent.

Will there be ticket packages including one of the six hotels in the area?

Thanks for the update!

...And yes, it does matter, since Pounds are worth more than dollars! I was just not sure if American Hyperspace members were going to receive some discount for the European Celebration ticket packages....

Or instead of waiting you could click here and order them now...

which is what I've just done.

£53.00 for a 3 day pass - not bad at all.

What I meant was, it doesn't matter what currency they are sold in because you still pay the same amount for them whether you are used to spending dollars, yen or euros because the value is conv erted to US dollars on your bill anyway.

Yeah, really....But 'if' it starts working, I don't know if I want to go ahead and order if we are supposed to be getting a discount...I have not received any info from the SW FC or the mailing list for CE....strange...What good is a mailing list if they are not going to send us anything?

I hear ya. I'm also on that mailing list, but have only received the "change of venue" mail a couple of weeks ago. I'm not a HS member, so I won't have to worry about discounts. But I understand you situation.

Im going to be in Europe at the time, and Im trying to
force my itinerary thru London so I can hit CE.

One question I dont see answered... How do you enter
the fact that you're in the fan club, so you can have
early admission?

I havent actually bought the CE tickets yet. I see the
'enter password' link at the top, and Im wondering if Im
supposed to get some passcode from the fan club first
or something.

Any fan-club members go thru the process yet?

'Any help would be hot, heh heh'

Parking at Excel

Just to give you an idea, it cost me to park at the UK Toy Fair at Excel £9.00 UK sterling. That was from 9am to 2pm. I think there is a maximum charge of £15 a Day, but will have to check. The ticket machines accept Cash & Credit Cards also, so this should help anyone short of change.

Hope this helps anyone planning on Driving to the event.

I'm going to buy a 3 day pass. I need to sort out train to london each day as i'm only an hour away. Yet thy said it would cost MW £33.50 a day to go return

Does anyone know if Photography will be allowed at CE, including Video Camera's etc?

I would imaging Cameras would be, but would love to take some actual footage if possible.

photos are allowed as even on the site it says about guests doing photos ect. Video footage is another thing of course. I wouldn't be surprised if they said no to it.

Showmasters don't allow Video cameras in their Q&A sessions for Collectormania ect

Jeremy
03-27-2007, 11:33 AM
It would be up to Lucasfilm not Showmasters, who are just a contractor. And LFL have always allowed cameras into the autographing area in the past.

Well it helps to speak to diferent people thorugh National Rail. I phones twice and was told that it would be £33.50 return each day (Ounch http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/shocked.gif over 3 days that's over £100)

Phones a third time and was told that if i buy a young persons rail card for £20 then it will only be £14.50 return a day http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif Muche better. 3 days travle for £45 is great and half the price i was quoted before.

So it will basically cost me £100 for my 3 day CE passes and 3 days train journey. Not bad i thought.

Just need to book them though http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/blush.gif

We should start collating places that tickets can be bought, and list prices so peeps can find the best deal.

So far we have play.com and SEE Tickets.

Anyone else found any sources?
